A
t the TRAKO 2025 fair in Gdańsk, we took a significant step toward modernizing and interconnecting Central European rail transport. During the event, we held a series of meetings with the European group ORLEN, one of the most influential players in the energy and petrochemical sector. Last week, this strategic cooperation was formally concluded with the signing of a contract.

The shared goal of our initiative is to connect selected parts of the Czech and Polish transport systems into a single, fully functional framework. A key component will be data integration with infrastructure managers, enabling more efficient transport management. With validated and complete data, it will be possible to optimize the entire logistics chain, improve the reliability of transport operations, and simplify coordination across individual transport hubs.

This collaboration represents not only a technical achievement but also an organizational milestone that may serve as a model for future cross‑border rail projects.

What lies ahead?

Looking ahead, we expect data‑driven models for transport planning and execution to become standard practice across Europe. As the emphasis on digitalization, interoperability and sustainability continues to grow, it will be essential for national transport systems to operate on the basis of unified data structures. Our partnership with ORLEN is another important step toward making this vision a reality.
