Founded in 2010, VEDOS started out with a single truck and big ambitions. Driven by passion and determination, the company’s founder laid the groundwork for a growing business that today employs more than 450 people. Since then, VEDOS has established itself as a major player in the logistics, concrete production, and heavy equipment rental markets in eastern Slovakia, with plans to expand into central Slovakia.

The company’s rapid growth, reaching double-digit percentages annually, is the result of constant focus on quality, innovation, and customer service. VEDOS is built on a solid foundation comprising honesty and moral integrity, which fosters a strong corporate culture and trust among customers and partners.

VEDOS’s goal is not only to provide top-notch services but also to constantly seek opportunities for development and improvement. With the ambition to expand into new markets, the company strives to continually exceed customer expectations and shape the future of the industry in which it operates.

At the end of 2025, VEDOS faced the decision to replace its existing transportation and freight forwarding management system with a new, more flexible one that would meet the needs of a dynamically growing company. One of the requirements was that the system comprehensively meet the specific needs of VEDOS and its customers, with capability for future expansion as needed. Following a competitive bidding process, the LORI (Transport Management System) from OLTIS Group was selected. For 25 years, OLTIS Group has been one of the leading providers of IT solutions for transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, and intermodal terminals. A key advantage of the LORI IS is the comprehensiveness of its solutions, which cover all processes in the areas of transportation, freight forwarding, and logistics, supporting system integration both within the company and with partner systems. Electronic data exchange and the provision of online information on order status must be a given for large transportation companies—something that the end customer expects.

The solution also includes the TABLOG mobile app for drivers. The TABLOG mobile app is primarily used for communication between the driver and the dispatcher and for logging driving activities. The driver receives shipping information in this app and then confirms receipt of this data. The driver then selects the shipment they are currently transporting and, with a simple “tap,” enters activities such as driving, loading, safety breaks, unloading, or other activities that they would otherwise have to manually record in paper-based logs (STAZ). During loading and unloading, the driver can verify the parameters of the goods, such as the number of items; in the event of a discrepancy, the driver can immediately correct this in the app, and the dispatcher will see this change instantly in the LORI system. During loading and unloading, the driver can scan documents, which are transferred to the LORI system after having been saved in the app. Some orders can, therefore, be invoiced immediately after the driver takes photos of these documents. Upon completion of the shipment, an electronic STAZ is automatically generated in the LORI system, eliminating the need for the driver to fill out any paper records. The app supports barcodes and QR codes. Drivers can also use the app to report damage incidents or accidents, during which they can immediately photograph any damage to the vehicle or goods and attach the photos to the report, which is instantly transferred to the LORI IS. During unloading, there is also a feature to specify who received the goods, including any additional notes.

The implementation of the system at VEDOS was preceded by the development of a target concept that defined the final project framework in detail. Thanks to the project management, the vendor’s experience with implementing similar projects, and the high level of commitment from the client’s staff, the implementation is proceeding as expected. The system is currently in the phase of implementing custom modifications and will be in routine operation in the fall of 2026. The successful deployment of the modern LORI system will enable VEDOS to continue maintaining a high level of service while adapting to market changes.

The LORI system for transportation and freight forwarding management is used by a number of Czech and international companies.

OLTIS Group is constantly developing its systems based on emerging trends and customer requirements.
