The first year of conference and exhibition Bocznica III tysiąclecia –  Nowoczesne technologie w zarządzaniu bocznicami kolejowymi (Siding of  III. Millenium – Modern technology in the management of railway sidings) was held in a hotel “Muflon” in Ustroń near Bielsko Biala on  26th – 28th May 2011.
The aim of the conference was Polish-Czech exchange of experience in the managment of railway siding, the patronage of honour over the conference and exhibition took the ambassador of the Czech Republic in Poland, Jan Schechter.
The organisers and partners were: CzechTrade, První Signální, OLTIS Group, KB -Blok, Jerid Polska, Sudop Polska, Graw oraz PKP Cargo Service.

At the conference issues concerning the management of railway siding were discussed – from loading plan, vehicles tracking, management with own or leased vehicles in and outside of the company area, to repair, inspection and maintenance planning. One of the issues was the safety of railway transport on the siding and also modern devices SRK were presented. In addition there were presented new systems of concrete walling, which utilize high resistance of concrete to pressure and the durability of the surface during the construction of railway infrastructure.
The conference “Bocznica III tysiąclecia” was the opening event for a cycle of Polish – Czech meetings supporting knowledge and ivestments in business development.
