The OLTIS Group has successfully completed its part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Interoperability System (KIS) for Železnice Slovenskej republiky (ŽSR). This advanced system guarantees full interoperability and facilitates communication in accordance with TAF/TAP TSI standards, thereby enhancing efficiency, transparency and convenience for passengers. KIS has been developed to unify data flows between railway undertakings and infrastructure managers, simplify operational processes, and enable faster responses in real time.

In particular, the capacity for such systems to communicate in this way is now widely regarded as a prerequisite for the advancement of rail transport throughout Europe. “The introduction of KIS is a significant step in the digitalisation of the railway sector in Slovakia.“ This is the opinion of Alexander Sako, CEO of ŽSR, who made this comment in relation to the system’s rollout.

The OLTIS Group’s objective is to develop analogous solutions in other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, thereby making a substantial contribution to the establishment of a unified European railway area.
