The first Golden Chariot 2013 International Transport Award presentation ceremony was held in Prague on 13 March 2013 during the Conference IRFC 2013.

The Award is a contest for those who are associated with transport all over the world. The Golden Chariot rewards organizations, companies and people who have made the biggest contributions to the industry. The purpose is to draw attention to the best improvements, innovations, creations, ideas and new technologies as well as the best companies and people in the transport domain.

The Award is organized by The Foundation of Social Programs Implementation and it is supported by the State Duma and the Transport Ministry of Russia and the Presidential Administration of Russia.

Winners of the 2013 edition of the Award: • JERID company, member of OLTIS Group, in the category “Achievements in Strengthening International Relationships in the Transport Sector” • Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, in the category “Outstanding Contribution to Transport Industry Development” • German Railway (DB AG), in the category “Excellence in Railway Transport” • Rail Cargo Hungary, in the category “Achievements in Global Logistics Services Provision” • Railway Research Institute (VUZ), in the category “Achievements in Transport Science and Education” • Czech Railways (ČD),  in the category “Excellence in Railway Transport”
