OLTIS Group has successfully implemented the TOS KONTI system at BULK TRANSSHIPMENT SLOVAKIA’s combined transport terminal in Dobrá

Company BULK TRANSSHIPMENT SLOVAKIA, a.s. (BTS): a major player in the field of east-west transhipment

BULK TRANSSHIPMENT SLOVAKIA, operator of the terminal at TKD Dobrá, is a joint venture between leading logistics operators Budamar Logistics and Železničnej společnost Cargo Slovakia (ZSSK CARGO). The terminal is located in close proximity to the border with Ukraine and plays an important role in the transport flows between East and West, especially in transshipments from broad gauge to standard European gauge.

BTS offers services in the field of transshipment of bulk materials, containers, and various types of shipments, and focuses on efficiency, safety and modernisation of operation technologies. Thanks to this orientation, the company decided to modernise its IT facilities and opted for a solution from OLTIS Group.

TOS KONTI + WMS LOGI: Successful system integration at the combined transport terminal in Dobrá

The end of May 2025 witnessed the successful completion of implementation of the TOS KONTI system at BTS. This project is a milestone for both parties: not only is it the first ever in-depth system integration of TOS KONTI with the WMS LOGI warehouse system for OLTIS Group as well, it also opens up new possibilities for implementing complex solutions in the environment of transshipment and multimodal centres that combine rail and road transport and warehouse processes.

From rail carrier information systems to weighing and OCR systems

The implementation included a comprehensive system integration that enables digitalisation and automation of the entire data flow between different elements of the operation:

• Connection to the rail carrier’s system – automated processing of transport orders and their execution without the need for manual intervention.
• Integration with roadside electronic weighing scales – automatic transfer of consignment weight data directly to the TOS system.
• OCR cameras – reading of the Registration Number at entry and exit of vehicles from the premises.
• Mobile terminals and tablets – for on-line data collection by drivers and workers on the terminal area.
• Self-service kiosk – speeding up of administrative tasks when checking in drivers.

The result is significant speeding up of operations, reduction in error rates, and overall modernisation of the terminal’s operational management.

Conclusion.

The project in Dobrá was completed on schedule and in very close cooperation with BTS experts. It proved the flexibility of the OLTIS Group’s systems, their ability to adapt to the specific operational requirements of its customers and at the same time, laid the foundations for further development of digitalization in the field of multimodal transport.
