2010 Leader of the Rail Transport

On 9 November 2010 the company OLTIS Group in Warsaw was awarded the prize Lider Transportu Szynowego (Rail Transportation Leader) in the category Telematyka for its system KONTI, dedicated to the operation of container terminals.
Lider Transportu Szynowego is a prize only for companies from rail and tram branch and its administration and it has been organised since 2007 by the board of the magazine Transport i Komunikacja and the employer association Forum Transportu Szynowego. The awards are under the patronage of Urząd Transportu Kolejowego (Railway Authority) and the Komitet Transportu Polskiej Akademii Nauk (Polish Academy of Sciences, the Department of Transportation).
KONTI is an information system, which along with the products for distribution and storage forms a complex solution for a logistics centre. The KONTI system makes the work easier in the domestic container terminal and it lowers costs for container manipulation. It covers all processes in import and export of containers. It is optimises the processes such as container intake to the terminal, shifting of containers, loading, unloading and reloading.
In a wide range it uses mobile equipment both in on-line and off-line mode. It also contains functions automating several processes, including calculation of client fees and transport calculation. The system also allows electronic data exchange with the clients, carriers and electronic data exchange with the ERP systems or other systems used in the client company.
