Euro-Žel Conference 2010

Among the experts on rail transportation, the turn of May and June of each year is renowned for the scientific conference Euro-Žel, organized by the University of Žilina. This year the conference took place from 26 to 27 May and its 18th year was organized under the theme "Revitalisation of economy - new challenge for European railways".
The conference was divided into two sections, "Operation and economics of railway transport" and "Control, information and communication technologies in railway transport". The experts from our company were involved in both sections: this year's "delegation" of OLTIS Group consisted of eight participants. Six of the delegates were giving active contributions representing systems SYMOZA, CSV, SIMON, KASO, DOMIN, and comprehensive information system Cargo for freight carriers.
The topics of other speakers included technical solutions for the railway (such as diagnostic equipments and satellite systems GNSS), position of carriers in the competitive environment, new innovative solutions (intermodal transport), or an interesting topic of selling the freight trains' paths in an auction.
The Conference as a whole again enriched the leading experts of the OLTIS Group with a number of contacts from partner companies as well as many new, interesting, innovative ideas.
